I know ,  it has been a while again !
I just keep on being busy , witch is a good sign I guess ?

I had the Martinborough Fair , for those who do not know this Fair ,
it is the most amazing , biggest Fair of the North Island !
It is hold every year on the first weekend of February and the first weekend of March and has about 20 000 visitors at least on each day !
So , it means , I have been sewing like a mad woman for this event for the past three months !
But I survived , had lots of fun , met so many great crafty people , and had  fantastic feedback !
So you can count on me for the next years Martinborough Fair !


I have also been very busy with a very special lady , Robyn Greening from www.robyngreeningphotography.co.nz  !
She makes the most beautiful photos !
And again , she put everything aside , for me and my clothes , to take fantastic pictures of the new Hikkepik range !
I count myself very lucky having her as a friend , as you all know I am not so good with the old camera !

Lost in time !

I haven't  been in my little blog for a long time , just couldn't find the time to write.

Have been so busy making christmas presents for everyone and had a few good sales so had to keep up with the sewing too !

And now it is the big school holiday , so have got the three kids to entertain ,
what can be time consuming but lovely !

Anyway , thought I might show you my new twirly skirts I've been selling lately ,
made out of fabric from the USA ,
the first time I bought fabric online ,
yes I know   I am a late bird ,
while everyone else has been buying online for years I just figured out now how to do so !  Might get some more ?

I have been a busy lady , lots of sewing , lots of fairs with lots of sales .

And have another fair to go to at the end of this month , so will still be keeping my hands entertained with the  needles and threads !

Hikkepik's clothes spotted in a few blogs !

The other day I was browsing (once again !) on one of my favorite blogs , www.Felt.co.nz/blog/
and noticed that they showed  one of my latest listings !
I am so happy about it , for many it might seem not a big deal,
but for me ; it means that someone likes my clothes ,
and if you work hard on something it is so rewarding to feel it is liked !

Also like to show you a present I got for myself !

I finally tracked down one of the famous Japanese pattern books !
They are so lovely , I just got it in my mailbox this morning ,
so might have a cup of tea and browse for hours through the book !

Sewing sewing sewing...

It has been very busy here at my household ,
lots of spring cleaning ( I wish ! )
No, all that has been cleaned in my house is the sewing room !
Finally !    The people who have seen my sewing room know that it was oh so needed ,
I can now see the floor , and have purchased some shelves to store my fabrics ,
it is such a great feeling now , I can see all the colors off the fabrics and have more space to store even more fabrics !

Anyway , I will put up a picture some time soon so you can see for yourself.

There has also been some sales on my Felt shop (hikkepik.felt.co.nz) and requests from people to make some jackets etc. ,(Yippee !)

And next month I have three events I will attend to sell Hikkepik stuff.

So I have been busy sewing some new dresses and even angel wings ( Christmas coming up)  making sun hats is on the list for this summer as well !

Better get on with it then !
